The Oklevueha Native American Church of New York (ONACNY) is an independent New York branch of the mother Oklevueha Native American Church earth spiritual community based in Utah. ONACNY was founded in 2014 in New York City by Little Owl, ONAC’s authorized medicine woman. ONACNY is a unique urban collective group of people who work together as a community to live consciously, evolve our growth individually, and collectively to share kindness and compassion with the world.
We offer community gatherings, Earth-based medicine ceremonies, workshops, and shamanic events in New York metropolitan areas to support people in their inward journey and transformation to make a difference in their lives. We believe that the Earth is our church and all creations are sacred. We honor all our relations and strive to live in Ayni (in right relationship) with conscious spiritual connection as we align ourselves with the Great Spirit. Thus we are in keeping with Mother Earth-based Native American spiritual traditions, ceremonies, and natural medicines. All Mother Earth sacraments are sacred, as we retain the rights as citizens of this nation to use Earth medicines as tools for the benefit of our physical health, spiritual growth, and personal evolution.
Our Vision & Intention
We envision people awakening to their essential nature of love, experiencing union and reconnecting with Divine Consciousness and each other. Our intention is to continue to hold space and assist people on their journey towards self-discovery and empowerment in order to create a new destiny and live in wholeness, to remember who we are in realizing our own path and life’s purpose, and to embrace fully our dance of life as it graces and challenges us, expressing inner wisdom, and demonstrating the special gifts that we already have and can offer to the World.
