About ONAC (our Mother Church)
The Mother Church, Oklevueha Native American Church (ONAC) was created in 2001 by the merging of two Native American Cultures: Lakota Sioux and Seminole earth based healing and empowering spiritual traditions.
ONAC exists to connect us all to learn and honor the wisdom of Mother Earth and those who are the caretakers for her. It is a movement that honors the understandings and the spiritual traditions of the entire world’s indigenous cultures. ONAC and all the respective branches welcomes people of all races, nationalities, religions and lifestyles without prejudice, as we are all ONE!
ONAC Mother Church has been granted exclusive federal protection to practice sacred medicine ceremonies and to safeguard and maintain access to earth-base sacraments. It has been over 2 decades since the historical Utah Supreme Court hearing in 2006. The outcome of this hearing that ended over 75 years of discrimination in denying the Native American Church of civil liberties, with an unanimous ruling based on Federal Law, that Oklevueha Native American Church (ONAC) was not only a bona fide Native American Church blessed into to existence by Leslie Fool Bull, President of the Rosebud Reservation of South Dakota Native American Church, it also established ONAC as the only Native American Church authorized by the government to worship off Federally Recognized Reservations, whereupon welcoming non-federally recognized members into ONAC Sacrament Ceremony's. With this recognition it also established that ONAC Temple is Grand-Mother Earth and Grand-Father Sky, and their multiple blessings (plants, herbs, minerals, birds, animals, reptiles and etc,).
